Mohamed Bourouissa was born in 1978 in Blida (Algeria) and now lives and works in Paris.
For each of his projects, after a long immersion phase, Mohamed Bourouissa develops a new context for expression. Counter to falsely simplistic media constructions, the artist brings complexity back into the representation of the margins of hyper-visibility. Numerous exhibitions of his work have been shown at the City of Paris Museum of Modern Art and
the Centre Pompidou, Paris; at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia; at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, and the basis, Frankfurt; at Le Bal, Paris; at the Haus der Kunst, Munich, and the Frac Franche-Comte? in Besanc?on. He has participated in the Sharjah, Havana, Lyon, Venice, Algiers, Liverpool and Berlin biennales and the Triennale di Milano.
